Amy’s Story

July 11, 2009

In 2006 my mom developed oral cancer. It is a sad emotional story and one I shall not go into detail right now as it makes me quite sad. She never smoked but it was a result of her old inhaler being too strong. Luckily after radio therapy and a lot of determination she beat it and got the “all clear” a while ago.

My heart goes out to anyone whose life has been affected by this sad illness. She found faith in her hours of need which is nice and my relationship with her has vastly improved so all in all a lot of good came out of such a tragic few months. She may have scars which are fading and she taught herself to speak again and still may never be perfectly clear again but I’m glad I still have her. Deep sympathies to anyone out there who is suffering or whose family have suffered.
